Laborers Local 57

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Through the past 75 years, LIUNA Laborers Local 57 has helped build and re-build the historic City of Philadelphia … its roads, subways and bridges — not to mention assisting with the excavation of the Benjamin Franklin house!

To mark its three-quarters of a century contribution to the city and region, Local 57 celebrated its 75-year anniversary with a party in August 2014.

Union Histories researched and wrote the local’s full history into a complete history program book for the event — filled with many historic photos of the local’s members working on countless public improvement projects throughout the years (including the 57 members working on the Franklin house!).

"Our 75th Anniversary publication is awesome! Our members love it! We want to thank Cal, Andy and the entire staff at Union Histories for an outstanding and seamless job. They took a mountain of information and photographs and put it all in a timeline of our contribution to our city and our region. Union Histories made this task so easy, from the extensive research through the production of the book they were really great to work with. Thanks again. Great job!"
